Monthly Recap #12 - July 2023

As the last month of Summer approaches, it’s time for yet another Monthly Recap. The last month has truly gone by in a flash, and we’re excited to look back at the summer highlights (hint: It wasn’t the weather in Norway…).

Just like June marks the milestone of enter.art being launched, July is yet another month of celebration in the enterverse, with the anniversaries of both enter.blog and enter.market. While they may serve very different purposes, they are both fundamental for the overall goal of enter, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone contributing to the success of both platforms. It, therefore, feels very fitting to take some space in this introductory part to thank everyone who’s been a part of taking both enter.blog and enter.market to where it is today. Whether you’re guest writers, dedicated readers, followers, or collectors and artists - it’s a joy having you along for the journey.

With that, let’s dive into this month’s recap and cheer for many more exciting years ahead in the crypto sphere!

Project Symbiosis

This month, we had the absolute pleasure of finally publishing the $ENTER Whitepaper, clearly outlining what Project Symbiosis entails. The Whitepaper is a crucial element in preparation for the $ENTER IDO and gives investors, artists, collectors, and other interested parties a straightforward way to grasp the project in its entirety.

In the Whitepaper, we cover everything from inflation rate, initial token allocation, and the ve concept to governance, aggregational procedures, and the community treasury. If you haven’t read it yet, read it here or read the Whitepaper breakdown article here. We also highly recommend thoroughly reading through our previous blogs on the topic to grasp the entirety of not only the technical details but also the thoughts that are behind it in Introducing Project Symbiosis, How Project Symbiosis aligns interests and empowers the community to take action, and Governance: Achieving reliable decision-making through diversity and numbers.

The launch of the $ENTER token signals a new era in the enterverse and for $NFTART. Introducing the dual-token model means no more $NFTART rewards, which results in less sell pressure, and more liquidity, which results in less price volatility. $NFTART will be used for what it was always meant for, a payment token for NFTs in the enterverse, while $ENTER will take its place in the ecosystem as a governance and reward token. We are not, and never will, abandon the $NFTART token and view it as an integral part of the enterverse.

July has been spent refining the project, continuing dialogues with Launchpad partners and ensuring everything is ready for the $ENTER IDO. When the token launches, you can buy it at one or more Launchpads or earn it by providing liquidity for NFTART-BNB or single-staking $NFTART. This provides a clear advantage to OG holders since they get a clear avenue to receive $ENTER tokens free of charge.

As we move closer to a whole new governance model, we will encourage everyone with questions, concerns, or feedback to stroll past the enterNFT Discord to discuss with the rest of the community so that we can all learn and grow in unison. We believe that dialogue and collaboration will propel us into the next stages of enter - and it all starts with opening the floor for conversation. See you there!

Multichain update

As you may have heard, July brought disheartening news about the Multichain situation. With the CEO of Multichain, Zhaojun, being arrested by Chinese Police and the private keys and permissions necessary to run the protocol confiscated by the authorities, the Multichain team has been forced to cease operations. As it turns out, most of the vital passwords and mnemonic phrases crucial to the protocol were stored on Zhaojun’s personal cloud server, leaving the team with no control over the project at all, even going as far as asking if “[...] GoDaddy [can] help to bring down multichain.org?” in their announcement tweet.

To preserve the safety and integrity of the $NFTART token, we’ve revoked all minting permissions from the Multichain protocol and taken our bridge offline. As such, it’s won’t be possible to bridge $NFTART between chains, for now. Given the extraordinary circumstances surrounding Multichain, this is the only way to ensure the safety and integrity of $NFTART.

We’re currently working on finding the right partners and technical solutions that will allow for a safe $NFTART bridge that allows us to retain the power to turn off the bridge when/if situations like this occur. We’re not rushing this since bridges are notorious weak points in crypto, and safety is paramount. When a new bridge solution is ready, it will only be announced through official channels.

Last, but not least, we can’t forget to take a look at the fantastic art of the enterverse.
